Throughout the years, Greendale High School students have excelled both in the academic classrooms and on the athletic playing fields. As a result, Greendale Panther Pride is alive in the schools, village and beyond.
The winter sports season is upon us and many events will be held in the High School Gym. Currently, during sporting events, the concession stand operates out of a storage closet, there are accessibility and traffic flow issues, and spectators enter through the school building, rather than a secure main gym entrance, and must negotiate crowded stairwells and narrow hallways.
We are writing to ask for your support as we raise private funds to build a new Greendale High School Gym Entrance off the east side of the present gym to address these issues.
The recent high school referendum addressed the academic needs of the school. Though this private fundraising effort, we are addressing the sports facility needs of the school. Construction is anticipated to begin in May 2008. This project will make the gym entrance a visible asset of Greendale High School that we can be proud of.
